This video shows what a typical class looks like, with our instructors providing clear guidance and students exploring chords and melodies in our supportive Andheri West studio.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/b222f009-d0af-436e-ba37-81a67c0a5a1d) ## About "Fret Not!": Guitar for Beginners You do not need to buy a guitar to see if you like it. In our 90-minute 'Fret Not!' session, we provide everything, including the instrument, the picks, and the guidance. We keep our batches to just 4-5 students, so you get enough hands-on time to actually play your first melody without feeling rushed. ### Our Approach to Learning Many people hesitate to start because they think they need to be a prodigy or have years of time to spare. We believe music is for everyone, regardless of age or experience. Our 'Fret Not!' workshops are built on the 'Zero to Song' method, focusing on immediate, practical results. We want you to walk out of our studio in D.N. Nagar knowing you can play, rather than just knowing theory. ### What You Will Learn In this 1.5-hour session, we move past the confusion of self-learning via online videos. We guide you through the essentials: * **Fundamentals:** Proper posture, how to hold the guitar, and plectrum techniques. * **Fretboard Navigation:** Understanding the layout to find your way around. * **Essential Chords:** Mastering 2-3 open chords that act as building blocks for thousands of songs. * **Strumming Mechanics:** Developing a rhythm that feels natural. ### The Environment We know that learning a new skill can be daunting. That is why we have created a sound-treated, air-conditioned space that feels more like a living room than a sterile classroom. We use backing tracks during the session to simulate a band-like feel, making your first attempts sound full and rewarding. Whether you are a working adult looking for a creative outlet or just curious to try something new, this is a judgment-free zone where your mistakes are just part of the process. ## About BAM Academy of Music At BAM, we believe music is about the joy of trying, not just the result. I started this academy to create a space where you can finally pick up that guitar without any pressure, whether you are learning your first chord or just curious to see what it feels like. My team and I are here to make sure your first strum feels like the beginning of something special.
