I use edible rice paper for the top layer, which catches fire and melts away to show your hidden message. Just keep in mind that these cakes need a steady hand for the reveal, so I recommend having your lighter ready and a clear space on the table before the party starts. ### Making the Trends Work for You I started Bakeemyday because I love the art of baking, and keeping up with trends like the burn-away cake or the vintage-style piping has been such a fun ride. These aren't just for social media; they are actual, delicious cakes that taste as good as they look. #### Why these designs are special: * **Burn-Away Cakes:** Perfect for birthdays and anniversaries. You get a calendar design or a custom image on top, and with a quick flick of a lighter, the surprise is revealed. It is a showstopper moment, and I make sure the transition is smooth and safe. * **Vintage Piping:** This style is all about those intricate, old-school borders and little ribbons. It gives the cake an elegant, timeless feel that looks great in photos. I pair these often with soft pastel colors. * **Monogram Cakes:** Minimalist, clean, and very personal. Great for gifting or smaller, intimate gatherings. #### A few things to consider: * **Flavor Matters:** Because these designs rely on piping and specific surface work, I pair them with flavors that offer a sturdy structure, like vanilla or chocolate ganache. This ensures the cake holds up while you are getting that perfect video. * **Eggless & Fresh:** Like everything I bake, these are 100% eggless. No shortcuts, no pre-mixes. I start the process fresh, so the cream is always light and the sponge is moist. If you have a specific trend you saw on Pinterest or Instagram, send me a photo. I love taking a reference and giving it my own spin while keeping it authentic to our kitchen in Goregaon. ## About Bakemyday By Henal Bhuta I’m Henal, the baker behind these viral trends.
