I use Callebaut 54% dark chocolate for a deep cocoa flavour, avoiding the synthetic taste of standard compounds. When you order, I build these layer by layer to ensure a perfect buttercream to sponge ratio. Since I operate a cloud kitchen in Wadala, I recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance so I have the time to get the piping and confetti finish just right for your celebration. ### Why these aren't your typical bakery cakes My 'Old School' collection is a reaction to modern, overly complicated desserts. Sometimes you just want the birthday cake you remember from childhood, but made with ingredients you actually want to eat now. **The anatomy of my retro cakes:** * **The Sponge:** Soft, moist dark chocolate or vanilla sponge, entirely egg-free. I focus on texture so it stays light without needing eggs. * **The Buttercream:** This is where the magic happens. I use real butter and premium dairy, no hydrogenated fats. It pipes clean, holds its shape, and tastes like real cream. * **The Finish:** That classic 'swirl and scrape' or the piped border with edible rainbow confetti. I source sprinkles that do not bleed colour so the cake stays pristine until the moment you cut it. **Ordering for your event in Mumbai** Whether it is for a cozy family dinner or a larger party, these cakes are designed for stability and flavour. Because I work with fresh Belgian chocolate and high-quality butter, temperature matters. I include advice on how to store and serve, so the buttercream is at the perfect consistency when you blow out the candles. Need a specific colour theme or a slightly different size? Send me a message. I am based in Wadala and deliver across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area, ensuring these cakes reach your table ready to party. ## About Baked with Love I am Annie, and for me, baking is how I share joy. I treat every birthday cake like it is for my own family, obsessing over the Belgian chocolate and the hand-piped details so you get a cake that actually tastes as good as it looks.
