It is about timing the session perfectly around their feed and nap schedule, and using soft, natural light in my Malviya Nagar studio to keep them calm rather than overstimulated. When they are awake, I focus on their tiny expressions—a yawn, a stretch, or that first curious gaze—that show they are already starting to discover the world around them. ### Why Awake Moments Matter Many parents come to me asking for classic, sleepy portraits, but some of the most engaging images happen when your baby decides to join the party. Those wide, curious eyes and little yawns show off your baby's unique personality from the very first days. These moments capture who they are, not just how they look while resting. ### My Approach to Awake Newborn Shoots Photography sessions with newborns should never feel like a race. In my studio, we work with the baby, not against them. If your little one wakes up during the shoot, we do not try to force them back to sleep. Instead, I adjust my setup to capture these alert, expressive frames. * **Safe Positioning:** I prioritize poses where the baby is supported, secure, and completely comfortable, allowing me to get those intimate, close-up shots of their face. * **Environment:** The studio environment is kept warm and quiet to ensure that even when awake, the baby feels safe enough to be themselves. * **Patient Pacing:** Whether it is time for a feed, a diaper change, or just some comfort from mom or dad, we pause whenever necessary.
