We start with some clean portraits to get your baby comfortable in the studio space, and only once they are settled do we introduce the cake. My goal is to capture those raw, messy reactions naturally, without forcing any specific poses. Planning a first birthday photoshoot in Gurgaon requires more than just a cake. It takes a controlled environment and the right props to keep the little one engaged. In my studio at Sector 93, I have built a collection of themes ranging from classic 'Little Krishna' setups with marigold flowers to woodland adventures with teepees. When you book a cake smash session, we look at a 3 to 3.5-hour window. This accounts for the baby's feeding schedule, potential nap time, and the inevitable hesitation some babies feel when they see a big cake for the first time. I provide the costumes and the theme props, so you do not have to stress about sourcing outfits that match the background. The session typically follows a three-part flow: 1. Pre-smash portraits: We capture clean, formal, or cute outfit shots to build confidence. 2. The Cake Smash: We let the baby explore the cake, touch the frosting, and make a mess. 3. The Cleanup: If you choose a package with a bathtub, we use this for final playful shots with bubbles or a small tub, which babies usually enjoy. I also include family portraits in these sessions because this milestone belongs to you as parents as well. You will receive 30 edited, high-resolution images that focus on those authentic expressions and tiny details. If you have a specific theme in mind, mention it during our initial chat so I can source the necessary decorations beforehand. ## About Baby Photography by Jyoti I am Jyoti, and I believe the first birthday is as much about the parents as it is about the baby. I love transforming my Gurgaon studio into a playful space where your child can just be themselves, whether that means smashing a cake or eating a little 'makhan' like a tiny Krishna.
