I painted this on a busy day, trying to capture the chaos of the traffic and the building's sunny personality. I work quickly, usually creating 8 to 10 hand-drawn portraits an hour using waterproof inks and vibrant watercolors on high-quality paper. It’s a bit of organized, creative chaos, but that’s where the magic happens. I keep my setup compact and portable—I just need a chair and a clear view to start capturing those memories for your guests. ### More Than Just a Drawing People often ask if my sketches look like photos. The honest answer is: no, and that's exactly the point. Photography captures the surface, but live sketching captures the vibe. When I paint your event, whether it's a wedding ceremony, a corporate get-together, or a birthday brunch, I’m translating the conversation, the laughter, and the light into ink and wash. ### The Process I come prepared with my portable easel and 300 GSM watercolor paper. For live guest portraits, I interact with your attendees—some want to chat, others are shy, and some just love watching the brush move. It becomes a small performance piece that adds a layer of engagement to your event. Every sketch is handed over in a protective sleeve so your guests leave with a durable, hand-made memory. ### Why Choose Live Art? - **It's Interactive:** Guests love watching the process. It's a conversation starter. - **It's Personal:** A photo on a phone gets lost in the cloud. A physical watercolor sketch gets framed. - **It's Authentic:** I don't aim for hyper-realism. I aim for character, emotion, and the 'soul' of the subject. Whether it's a live event illustration of your venue or quick portraits of your friends, I bring the same approach I use for my urban sketching adventures around Bengaluru. If you’re looking for something that feels less 'staged' and more 'lived-in,' let’s talk. I travel for events, so don't worry if your venue is a bit further out. ## About Basit I’m Basit, a self-taught artist living in Bengaluru who learned everything from YouTube and the streets.
