I pack each order myself with a handwritten note and a hint of lavender, so when you open it, you get a little bit of that slow, quiet magic I feel when I'm painting. Growing up, these animated worlds were my comfort. When I started painting, I realized the landscapes I was seeing in films felt just as real as the ones I saw back home in Kerala or here in Bangalore. That connection is the heart of The Indian Chronicles. Each piece began as a watercolor or gouache experiment. I wanted to see what would happen if Howl walked through the prayer flags of Ladakh, or if the Catbus sped across the Thar Desert. These are not just digital reproductions; they are my personal travel journals turned into fantasy. Quality matters to me because I am self-taught. I do not take shortcuts. I print these on premium 280-300 GSM textured paper. The texture is important because it mimics the tooth of the paper I use for my original plein air sketches. If you pick up a calendar, you will find a wooden easel included. I wanted something that looks beautiful on a desk, not just something stuck on a wall. Whether you want a framed print of 'Totoro at Pondicherry' or the full calendar set, everything is shipped from my studio in Bangalore. It is slow, manual work, but that is how I like to do it. ## About Basit I am Basit. I did not go to art school, but I learned everything by sketching the sunset at Kozhikode and the chaos of Bangalore. This Ghibli series is my way of blending the magic I love with the home I live in.
