I share them to show that art does not always have to be perfect. Often, it is just me sitting in a Bangalore cafe or a local park, working through a mood, testing a new color mix, or simply capturing the light. If you see a specific style or vibe here that resonates with you, let me know. We can turn that exact aesthetic into a custom commission for your space. My sketchbook is where I test the waters. Whether I am experimenting with gouache textures on cold press paper or trying to capture the chaotic energy of the Thrissur Pooram festival in just a few lines, this is where the raw work happens. I believe in the power of 'plein air' painting—the act of sketching outdoors—because it forces me to be present and quick. ### Why Practice Matters Many people ask me about my creative process. The truth is that consistency matters more than raw talent. These sketches are my way of showing up every single day, even on the days I feel stuck. For anyone looking for art commissions, this cluster serves as a portfolio of my range. It shows how I handle different mediums like watercolor, digital Procreate illustrations, and pen sketches. ### Customizing Your Vision If you are looking for something personal, like a watercolor portrait or a digital landscape, my sketchbook acts as a reference point for what I can do. We can take the loose, expressive style you see here and apply it to your custom project. Whether you need: * **Watercolor portraits** of loved ones * **Pet illustrations** capturing their personality * **Landscapes** of places that hold memories for you I treat every project with the same slow, intentional care I use in my personal practice. I work from my studio in Bengaluru and ship across India, ensuring each piece is packed with the same handwritten notes and personal touch that defines my art. ## About Basit I'm Basit. I didn't go to art school, so my sketchbook became my classroom. I’m just a guy living in Bangalore who loves capturing the quiet moments, whether it is the light at a favorite cafe or a quick face study on the train.
