It is not just about the final drawing; it is about the silence I find amidst the espresso machines and city chatter. If you are looking for a unique way to capture your own special outings, I can sketch your favourite memory—be it a quiet morning breakfast or that one date night where everything felt perfect. For me, sketching isn't about perfectly replicating a plate of food. It is about capturing the warmth of the chamomile tea I was sipping, the neon glow of a favourite cafe, or the comfort of a prawns thali in Goa. Food and cafes are the pulse of city life, and I love freezing those fleeting moments on paper. ### Why sketch your favourite cafe? Photographs are great, but a hand-drawn sketch feels personal. It carries the energy of the moment—the messy table, the steam rising from the cup, the specific way the light hit your chair. Whether it is a vibrant fruit illustration for your kitchen wall or a detailed ink sketch of your go-to brewery, my process is all about bringing that specific 'vibe' to life. ### How we work together I use a mix of watercolour, gouache, and pen to ensure the colours pop and the texture feels real. If you have a memory you want to preserve—maybe your first coffee date or a family meal at a local restaurant—I can turn that photo into a custom artwork. - **Live or From Photos:** I can sketch live if I am at your event, or I can work from the photos you provide. - **Mediums:** Watercolour for that dreamy, soft look; markers for bold, graphic cafe vibes; or ink for that classic urban sketch style. - **Timeline:** Usually 7 to 14 days, depending on the complexity of the piece. Let’s make your memories a little more artistic. Send me a message and tell me about the place that makes you happiest. ## About Basit I'm Basit, and I’m a self-taught artist living in Bangalore.
