In these sessions, you learn to isolate and accent every rhythmic hit, transforming your coordination and confidence. It’s challenging, but that moment when the rhythm clicks and you start to truly flow? That’s where the real magic happens. ### Why Tahitian & Drum Solos? If you are looking to step outside your comfort zone, these classes are for you. We are proud to be the first academy in Bengaluru to offer authentic Tahitian dance. It is all about fluid, hypnotic hip circles and sharp, rhythmic expressions that feel entirely different from standard belly dance. Then there are the drum solos. Think of these as the ultimate power move. We use a live darabuka (goblet drum) to dictate the beat, forcing you to focus on timing, posture, and intense muscle control. It is fast, it is loud, and it is incredibly empowering to master. ### What to Expect in Class * **Technique First:** We break down complex movements into small, manageable pieces. Whether it’s the intense shimmies of a drum solo or the specific hip work of Tahitian dance, we ensure you have the foundation to execute it safely. * **Studio Environment:** We host these classes at our fully equipped studios in Jayanagar, Malleshwaram, and Sahakarnagar. You will have plenty of space, full-length mirrors for feedback, and professional flooring to protect your knees. * **The Vibe:** No judgment, just growth. You will be in a room full of women who are there to support each other. You might be working on your 'Chu Chu Shimmy' or mastering a sword balance, but the laughter and camaraderie are the real constants. ### Who Should Join? These classes are open to anyone with the will to learn. If you have been doing belly dance for a while and want to challenge your coordination, or if you are a beginner looking for a fun way to build core strength and body confidence, you will fit right in. Come as you are, leave with a new skill and a new tribe. ## About Azaya I started Azaya to build a space where dance isn't about perfection, but about the joy of moving together.
