This specific look involved 250 hours of hand-embroidery and precision canvas fusing, ensuring the silhouette remains sharp from the first look to the final frame. Designing for a high-stakes event like the Cannes Film Festival requires more than just an appreciation for textiles. It demands an understanding of how silk moves and how rigid structure can support it. The revival of a forgotten 1950s Chettinad weave combined with a bespoke corset required a balance of technical tailoring and artistic vision. We spent weeks on pattern making alone, ensuring the bustier cup sizing and shoulder drop provided both comfort and the intended aesthetic impact. This same rigour applies to every project we take on in our Bengaluru studio.
