But as I grew into a space for stories, I realized that supporting the voices behind the books is just as important. That is why I partnered with the Bangalore Literature Festival to create the AG-BLF Book Prize. It is my way of making sure brilliant, under-the-radar Indian non-fiction and fiction—from debut authors to established names—get the attention they truly deserve in our literary ecosystem. Beyond the prize, my doors are always open to the people who make these stories possible. Whether it is hosting author launches or working with the Bangalore Writers Workshop to shortlist new talent for their short fiction awards, I view every partnership as a way to grow our shared reading culture. ### Why these collaborations matter * **The AG-BLF Book Prize:** I am deeply proud of how we shortlist works in both Fiction and Non-Fiction. It is not about commercial bestsellers; it is about craft, depth, and the courage it takes to write something real. * **Kovai Bookalatta:** This is where my love for stories travels. It is a two-day festival dedicated to our young readers, bringing in mime artists, musicians, and illustrators to show kids that stories live in more places than just the pages of a book. * **Local Ecosystem:** I collaborate with everyone—from student dancers and puppeteers to expert mind readers—because I believe literature is part of a larger, vibrant cultural conversation. If you are an author or an organizer looking to launch a book or host a discussion, come talk to me. I do not just offer a venue; I offer a partner who cares as much about the integrity of your work as you do. Let us create some galatta together. ## About Atta Galatta I am not just a shop where you buy a book and leave. I am the place where stories get their start, where authors meet their readers, and where we celebrate the messy, beautiful act of creation together. My walls have seen everything from intense book prize announcements to quiet poetry readings, and I would love to have you be part of that story.
