## About Community Event and Meetup Venue

### Where Stories and People Come Together

We’re not just a bookstore - we’re where Bengaluru comes to connect. Some afternoons, you’ll find a quiet group deep in a book club meeting, other times it’s full-on galatta (bustling fun) with performances and debates. Folks come here because they want a place that feels easy, open, and a bit like home.

### What Feels at Home Here?

- Judgment-free sharing: Psychologist-led circles, support groups, or anyone needing a safe space for real talk
- Fully LGBTQ inclusive event space: Regular meetups like Queer Quiet Hours and open discussions
- For the bookworms: Book club meeting venue, short story jams, author Q&As
- Creative workshops: Macrame, art, storytelling sessions with our thatha-paati (grandfather-grandmother) crowd, film screenings
- Community building: If your event brings people together, it fits right in

### Spaces for All Kinds of Vibes

- Bookstore Area: Surrounded by shelves, perfect for intimate gatherings or cozy discussions (floor mats or tables, up to you)
- Auditorium: Seats up to 100. Stage, sound, projector, mics, green room - ready for performances, screenings, bigger workshops

### Details That Matter

- Tech and basics: Sound, lights, projector in the hall
- Food: Filter coffee for small groups, catering for bigger ones if needed
- Flexible timings: Usually 11 am - 7 pm, but we’re open to chat if you need something different

All we really want is for you to feel safe, seen, and part of something. Come as you are, stories and all.

## Meet your expert

[Atta Galatta](https://mytribe.in/attagalatta)

### My story

Started as a bookstore, but I got itchy feet. Atta Galatta means a bit of chaos, and I love it that way. Not just books here, but stories being made—queer circles, tote-bag printing, paati-thatha tales, Chittara folk art, chai at the tea fest. I’m more about people meeting, sharing, and making a mess together. It’s community, not just commerce. That’s my thing.

### My work

- **Bookstore & Event Venue**: We host creative workshops, storytelling, book clubs, quizzes, open mics, theatre, magic shows, and more.
- **Open for All**: Tiny detectives, teens, seniors, queer folks—everyone finds a spot here. No kidding, everyone.
- **Cultural Hub**: Find your next book, join a Chittara folk art session, see a play, or debate with fellow readers.
- **Safe Spaces**: Events like Coffee and Conversations and Bougainvillea Circle—come as you are, no judgment.
- **Platform for Creators**: Local debut authors, poets, musicians, artists—showcase your work and connect with curious folks.
