Unlike mass-produced items, our products carry the fingerprint of the artisan who made them. Every item is treated for termite resistance and durability, so while it looks delicate, it is built to hold up in a busy household. ### From Tradition to Your Home We work directly with artisans, primarily from the North East, to keep age-old crafting techniques alive. When you choose a piece from this collection, you are choosing to support a livelihood rather than a factory floor. ### The Quality Difference Because these pieces are handmade using bamboo, rattan, and seagrass, no two items are exactly the same. We apply a natural matte or semi-gloss varnish to every piece, which provides dust and fungal resistance without covering up the organic texture of the material. ### Practical Care for Your Space While our items bring a natural, earthy aesthetic to your home, they are meant for real life. Here is what you should keep in mind: * **Durability:** Every bamboo component is treated to prevent termite issues. This is a standard part of our process, ensuring your home decor lasts for years. * **Maintenance:** These items are designed for indoor or covered outdoor use. Avoid constant exposure to water. A simple wipe with a dry cloth keeps them looking fresh. * **Customization:** Since we work directly with the makers, we can often adjust the size or pattern of a piece to better fit your specific corner or project. If you see a technique or a style in these photos that you love, send us a message. We can often replicate that specific weave or structure for your home or business project. ## About Asli Bamboo We are Asli Bamboo, and we believe sustainable living shouldn't feel like a compromise.
