When I work on a mashup, I’m looking for that friction between two genres—like taking a classic 90s hook and dropping it into a heavy Bolly-tech bassline—that forces the crowd to stop and look up. It’s not about just syncing tempos; it’s about rebuilding the energy of the original song so it feels fresh, even if you’ve heard it a thousand times. My musical journey is defined by 'Desi Tech,' a fusion of electronic production and traditional Indian sounds. I treat music as a live conversation, not a static list. Whether I'm fusing a Honey Singh hip-hop classic with a fresh beat or putting an Afro-house spin on a Bollywood hit like 'Muqabala,' my goal is to create something that feels familiar yet entirely new. For your event, this means I don't just show up with a pre-recorded set. I build soundscapes based on the crowd's energy. If I see a Sangeet crowd leaning into nostalgia, I'll pull from my archive of remixed retro hits. If it’s a late-night club vibe in Bangalore, we dive deep into the techno-fusion tracks from my latest album. I offer full production customization, which means we can work together to craft a unique mashup for a special moment—like your couple entry, a surprise performance, or a specific segment you want to own. My goal is to ensure you have a sound that is distinct, high-impact, and undeniably yours. If you want a DJ who respects the roots of the music but isn't afraid to tear it apart and rebuild it, let's talk. ## About Ashwin Bhatia I’m Ashwin, and for me, the console is where the story starts. I don't just run a playlist; I live for that moment when a crowd loses it to a track they didn't know they needed to hear.
