My shoots are built around nap times and snack breaks because a tired or hungry baby won't give you those natural smiles. I bring a patient, kid-friendly approach that allows us to get the candid shots, while setting aside fifteen minutes before your guests arrive for those perfect, stress-free family portraits. ### My Approach to Milestone Shoots A first birthday is less of a planned photoshoot and more of a managed event. My goal is to capture the 'real' story of the day—from the messy cake smash to the curious look on your baby's face when they see the decor. **Planning Your Session** Most parents worry that their child won't 'pose' for the camera. My advice is always the same: don't worry about it. Whether it is a home setup or a rented venue in Delhi NCR, I use a mixture of natural light and gentle off-camera flash to keep the vibe relaxed. I am there to catch the reactions of grandparents holding the baby, the chaos of gift-opening, and the quiet moments of wonder. **Technical Execution** - **Patience-First:** I build in buffer time for mood swings. If the baby needs a break, we take one. No rushing allowed. - **High-End Retouching:** The final gallery includes professional skin retouching to handle the occasional scratch or food stain, ensuring the baby and immediate family look their best in the final prints. - **Delivery:** You receive a mix of candid shots, posed family portraits, and a fast-paced 1-2 minute highlight reel designed specifically for social media sharing. **What We Need to Coordinate** If you have a theme—like the celestial setup or a specific color palette—let me know beforehand. It helps me choose the right lens and lighting setup to match the decor. For first birthdays, I typically bring a two-person team: one lead photographer to focus on the baby's expressions and a videographer to catch the movement and background interactions that stills might miss. ## About Arun Kumar Hi, I'm Arun. I have a soft spot for first birthdays because they are chaotic, messy, and absolutely full of life. I'm there to make sure you actually get to enjoy the day while I handle the angles, the lighting, and that one perfect shot of the cake smash.
