For these travel pieces, I usually work from your reference photos, focusing on the lighting and that one specific vibe that makes a place feel like home. ### How We Turn Memories Into Art When you share a photo of a place that holds meaning—a quiet *pahad* (mountain) retreat or that tiny cafe where you spent the whole afternoon—I don't just draw the lines. I try to capture the mood. My travel art is less about photographic accuracy and more about how the place felt at that moment. **The Process** Once you send over your reference, we start with a rough sketch to ensure we’re on the same page. I use digital watercolor and ink-line techniques to build the scene in layers. Because it’s digital, we have flexibility to tweak colors or focus on specific elements you love, like the way the evening sun hit a particular building. **What You Get** - **High-Res File:** You get a 300 DPI digital file, ready for you to print, frame, or share on your social feed. - **Process Video:** For every travel commission, I include a short, edited time-lapse video of your artwork coming to life. It’s always fun to see the blank canvas turn into a scene. - **Style:** My style leans towards urban sketching and digital watercolor wash. It’s light, airy, and full of character, perfect for preserving the soul of your travel photos. I’m always happy to add small details, like a specific date or a short caption, to make the piece feel truly yours. Whether it’s an architectural landmark or a simple street view, I’m excited to help you keep that memory alive. ## About Life in Strokes I'm Ashima, the person behind Life in Strokes. My art started as a way to scribble down the moments that made me smile during my travels—whether it's the mountains or a quiet cafe. I don't chase perfection; I just want to capture that warm, fuzzy feeling of being somewhere special.
