From magic heat-reveal drawings to paper craft portraits, this is where I experiment with the unconventional. ## Photos and videos - [Video: From random scribbles to a divine sign. I used a heat-sensitive "magic" pen to create this drawing of Baby Ganesha. The reveal over a gentle flame is a simple trick that always brings a smile.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/cf1c25d9-532e-4326-a274-684ad4444d13) - [Video: A drawing with a hidden surprise. On the front, you see an image of Krishna made from rolled paper strips. I created this split portrait showing her classic cartoon look on one side and my realistic interpretation on the other, using a mix of pens and highlighters.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/574c0188-0baa-426e-b966-072ec42c7433) - [Video: A portrait made entirely of words. For this piece, I used the name 'Ravi' over and over again to build the features and shading of the face, then finished it with a touch of gold paint.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/b8a4fdd8-6f2b-47d8-bfdc-efad75d6f71f) - [Video: A quick sketch challenge. I tried to capture the likeness of this person in under 15 minutes using just a ballpoint pen, focusing on expressive lines and energetic cross-hatching.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/070b04b9-58ee-4047-a2c9-28c8c68719aa) ## About Creative & Experimental Art If you are tired of standard portraits and want a gift that makes people ask how you did it, this is the right place. Whether it is a drawing that reveals itself over a flame or a paper portrait that changes when you flip it, I use simple materials to create surprising results. Tell me your wild idea, and we can figure out a creative way to make it happen. I believe art is at its best when it creates a moment of wonder. My experimental work, like the heat-reveal Ganesha or the split-style Shizuka portrait, isn't just about the final image. It is about the process and the reaction it gets from the viewer. ### Why experiment with art? People often ask me why I step away from standard sketches. The truth is that a surprise element makes the art stick in your memory. A portrait that reveals a hidden message or an image that changes angles can turn a simple gift into an interactive experience. ### How I work with experimental requests - **The 'Jugaad' Factor:** If you have an idea that doesn't fit a traditional category, bring it to me. I love a challenge, whether it is using unconventional surfaces, special pens, or multi-layered paper art. - **Process-First:** For these pieces, I often share snippets of the making-of process. It helps you see how the layers or magic tricks come together before the final reveal. - **Customization:** These aren't pre-made templates. We sit down, discuss your vision, and I figure out the best medium—be it pen, highlighter, or paper engineering—to bring it to life. Whether you need a creative surprise for a partner or a conversation starter for an event, let’s skip the boring stuff and make something that plays with perception. ## About Parvesh Goswami I am Parvesh, and I have spent 15 years chasing the 'truth' in my art, not just perfection. When I am not working on classic portraits, I am usually in my studio trying to turn magic pens or simple paper into something that surprises people. It is messy, it is fun, and it is always real.
