Over the last 15 years, I have painted over 5000 faces, and every single one taught me that the best art comes from honesty. Whether I am working with charcoal, graphite, or oil paints, my process is designed to capture the emotion you feel when you look at the subject, not just the lines of their face. ### Restoration & Customization Do not worry if your reference photo is not perfect. I thrive on challenges. Whether it is an old, faded family photo, a cropped image that needs the rest of the hair drawn in, or separate photos that need merging into one frame, I use a mix of digital restoration and traditional technique to get it right. I treat your family memories with the same care as my own. ### The Medium Matters Each medium has a different 'voice': * **Charcoal & Graphite:** Perfect for high-contrast, dramatic, and realistic portraits. I use premium 200 GSM paper to ensure your sketch lasts. * **Oil Painting:** This is for timeless pieces. I follow the 'Old Master' layering technique, which gives the painting depth and durability for 75+ years. It requires patience (2 to 3 weeks for drying), but the result is a physical texture you can actually feel. * **Dry Brush:** My unique technique that creates a smooth, photographic finish using oil paint on textured paper—great for those who want the realism of a photo with the soul of a painting. ### A Note on Process I am not a factory.
