I start by reviewing your photos to understand the specific emotion you want to preserve, whether it is the spirit of a motorcycle journey or a quiet family moment, ensuring every detail is intentional before I begin working. My approach to portraiture is rooted in patience and clarity. After 35 years, I have learned that the best work happens when there is a clear understanding between the artist and the subject. We start by discussing the vibe and emotion you want to capture, and I keep you updated with progress shots throughout the painting process so you are never left wondering. ### My Mediums and Materials - **Charcoal and Graphite:** Perfect for a classic, timeless look. I use high-density charcoal and 300 GSM acid-free paper to prevent yellowing, finishing each piece with multiple coats of fixative to protect against smudging. - **Acrylics and Watercolors:** For color portraits, I use heavy-body acrylics on gallery-wrapped canvas or rich watercolor washes on 400 GSM paper. These pieces are built to last and are sealed with UV-resistant varnish. ### The Process Every commission, from a family portrait to a custom caricature, follows a structured path. We begin with a discovery chat, move to a digital layout preview for your approval, and then I begin the layering process. If you have a deadline for a gift or special event, I can work with you to prioritize the timeline. I have delivered watercolor commissions in as little as three days while maintaining the level of detail my clients expect. If you have an idea in mind, let's talk about how to make it real. ## About Artistic Impressions I am Hansa Sewani, and for 35 years, I have believed that art must be felt to be seen.
