We focus on the basics—circles, triangles, and lines—to build figures that tell stories. In our sessions, I provide the pre-treated red canvas and white acrylics, and we take the time to map out your composition before the brush hits the surface. It is about understanding the logic of the art form first, so you leave with something that feels distinctly yours. ### Why Warli Art? Warli art is not about perfection. Originating from the indigenous tribes of Maharashtra, this traditional style uses a limited set of geometric shapes—circles, triangles, and squares—to represent everything from daily village life to the natural world. It is a language of visual storytelling. ### What to Expect in Our Sessions Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine your folk art techniques, our workshops are designed to be accessible. We typically start with the fundamentals: * **The Base:** Understanding the red background, which mimics traditional mud-treated walls. * **The Geometry:** Learning how to combine simple shapes to form human figures, trees, and animals. * **The Narrative:** Composing your canvas to reflect a theme, whether it is a harvest scene or a modern interpretation. ### Who This Is For * **Community Gatherings:** Our outdoor "art picnics" are perfect for small groups looking to connect in a park or cafe setting. * **School and Kids' Events:** We adapt the difficulty level, using tools like ear-buds or vegetable stamps to make the shapes easy for younger hands. * **Corporate Workshops:** Art is a powerful tool for mindfulness. Warli's repetitive, rhythmic patterns are excellent for stress relief and team bonding. We provide all materials, including canvas boards, acrylic paints, and brushes. If you have a specific venue in mind in Ahmedabad or beyond, let me know, and we can plan a session that fits your space. ## About The Artist I am Dr. Ankita, a doctor and artist who believes that creating art should feel like a conversation. My workshops are less about technical perfection and more about giving you a space to slow down, get messy, and reconnect with your hands.
