I specialize in transforming faded or unwanted ink into new, meaningful designs that you will be proud to wear again. ## Photos and videos - [Video: This video shows the complete transformation process. I analyze the density, scar tissue, and placement of your current tattoo first, then create a custom design—typically two to three times larger—to ensure the old art is completely concealed through strategic shading and dense packing, avoiding the need for laser removal. ### My Approach to Tattoo Modification Many clients come to me believing that laser removal is their only path to a clean slate. That is rarely the case. My process starts with a frank assessment of your existing tattoo. I look at how the ink has aged, where it sits on the body, and how we can best incorporate those lines into a new, fresh concept. ### How I Conceal Old Ink I focus on three key techniques to ensure the old tattoo vanishes: * **Distraction Geometry:** Instead of trying to hide the old tattoo with solid blocks of black, I use complex textures, scales, or organic shapes (like petals or tribal patterns) that naturally draw the eye away from the underlying design. * **Strategic Layering:** I use varying shades of grey-wash and dense black packing to build depth. By creating a darker, more detailed foreground, the background—the old tattoo—effectively disappears. * **Scaling:** To achieve a seamless look, the new piece needs room to breathe. I usually scale the cover-up to be 2x or 3x the size of the original. This creates the necessary negative space to make the new art pop. ### Why Choose a Custom Cover-Up? Whether it's a name from a past relationship or a symbol that no longer resonates with your life, we can turn it into something that reflects who you are today. I treat every cover-up with the same level of detail as my realistic portraits. It is a collaborative process—bring me your idea, and we will sketch it until it feels right. ## About Sanjeev Sangme I see tattoos as memories, but sometimes, a fresh start is exactly what you need.
