Because I work in such intricate detail—often spending over 50 hours on a single 7-foot canvas—I only take on a limited number of these large projects at a time to ensure the quality of every brushstroke stays exactly where it needs to be. Whether you have a specific scene in mind or want to capture a piece of history, like my recent Maharshi Ved Vyas tribute or Ayurveda-themed works, the process begins with your vision. I use high-quality heavy-body acrylics and archival materials that are rated for longevity. For a 6x7 foot piece, I don’t just paint; I build the narrative layer by layer, starting with a precise pencil grid on the canvas to ensure the composition is balanced before I ever touch a brush to paint. From there, I develop the figures and backgrounds, ensuring the lighting and expressions are just right. This is a slow, dedicated process. It usually requires 2-3 weeks for creation and the necessary drying time to ensure the varnish sets properly. If you are looking to fill a large empty wall with something that feels personal, grounded, and made specifically for your home, let's talk about the theme, the space you have, and how we can bring your idea to life. ## About Neelam Gupta I'm Neelam. For me, painting isn't just work, it is shradha (devotion). I pour my heart into every brushstroke, whether I'm recreating ancient wisdom or a modern portrait, because I know this piece will live on your wall for years to come.
