I use only 300 GSM cold press paper, which gives the finished painting a sturdy, professional feel while ensuring the colors do not buckle. This is not just a digital print; it is a hand-painted piece of art that will last for years with the right care. ### Why Choose Watercolor? Watercolor portraits have a soft, dreamy aesthetic that other mediums like charcoal or acrylic cannot replicate. They feel lighter, more personal, and possess a classic painted quality that works beautifully in any home setting. Whether it is a family portrait or a thoughtful gift, watercolor brings a unique warmth to the subject. ### My Process When you share a high-resolution photo with me, I start by studying the light and the emotion behind the eyes. I use artist-grade paints that keep their vibrancy over time. For each piece, I focus on: * **Skin Tones:** Building depth through light, transparent layers rather than heavy paint. * **Texture:** The cold press paper provides a subtle grain that adds character and depth to the portrait. * **Longevity:** Because I use heavy-duty 300 GSM paper, your portrait is rated to look great for nearly 100 years, provided it is kept away from direct, harsh sunlight. ### What You Get Each commission is a labor of 'mehnat'. I provide the finished painting unframed, safely shipped flat between rigid boards or rolled in a protective tube to prevent any damage. You will also receive a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Since I work from your reference photos, I focus on capturing the life behind the smile, not just the features. If you have a specific photo or an idea for a portrait that feels special, send me a message and let us bring it to life. ## About Neelam Gupta For me, art is 'shradha' or deep devotion. I do not just paint faces; I try to capture the heart and the emotion of the people you love. Whether it is a family gathering or a quiet moment, I put my soul into every brushstroke.
