I love how the light catches these details, whether in a minimalist abstract or a heavy textured piece. ## Photos and videos - ![This textured painting with a simple gold leaf border was installed in a beautiful Hyderabad home. This ensures the metallic shimmer stays vibrant without any risk of flaking or fading, so your art remains as striking as the day you hung it. When I add 24ct gold leaf to a canvas, it is about more than just the shine. It is about creating a contrast between the raw, matte texture of acrylic paint and the smooth, reflective quality of the gold. I often use modeling paste to build up 3D ridges, then apply the leaf so it catches the light from different angles throughout the day. Whether it is a simple gold border in a Hyderabad home or the intricate, sculpted fabric panels for my Dubai clients, the goal is always to add depth. If you have a specific color palette or a mood you want to capture, we can talk about how to incorporate these metallic touches. Because every piece is made by me, I send video updates during the process so you can see how the light hits the gold leaf before I ship it to your doorstep. ## About Nida Abbasi Hey, I’m Nida.
