I have learned that the secret to a successful project is not just the art; it is being ready for the unexpected, like when materials arrive damaged or a surface is not what you expected. If you are hiring an artist, ask them specifically how they manage on-site logistics before you finalize the contract. ### Behind the Surface Being a mural artist in cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru is not always about holding a brush. Most of my time is spent on logistics, managing vendors, and ensuring the surface is actually ready for paint. Whether I am balancing on a ladder on uneven ground or covering up a last-minute print on materials, the goal is always to deliver the project regardless of the chaos behind the scenes. ### The Artpreneur Mindset I treat every wall as a business challenge. This means considering: * **Surface Preparation:** Not every wall takes paint the same way. Corrugated or textured walls require specific priming and techniques. * **Vendor Coordination:** From sourcing supplies to managing delivery timelines, my job involves a lot of coordination that happens long before the first coat of paint goes on. * **The Power of Jugaad:** Sometimes, things go wrong. A jacket print might be wrong, or a delivery might be delayed. Being an artist means knowing how to pivot and solve problems on the fly without compromising the final result. ### Why This Matters for Your Project When you hire a professional for corporate art installations or custom wall murals, you are not just paying for a painting. You are paying for the experience that allows me to handle the dust, the traffic, and the structural constraints of your venue. If you have an empty wall that needs life, I am here to handle the process from start to finish—making the messy part look easy. ## About Nishka Mehta I am Nishka. I have spent over a decade turning giant walls into art, from corporate lobbies to street-side murals.
