You’ll spend 4 to 8 weeks learning the theory behind the medium—whether it's oil blending or sketching proportions—rather than just copying a demo. We provide all the professional-grade materials and a starter kit, so you just show up ready to build your skills. ### Beyond the Workshop Sometimes, a two-hour session isn't enough to really grasp a medium. My short-term courses are designed for those who want to take their art seriously, even if they have zero prior experience. We move from theory to execution, ensuring you understand why a brushstroke works rather than just mimicking what I do. ### Mediums We Cover * **Oils:** Learn the patience of layering, glazing, and mixing rich textures. We cover the chemistry of drying times so you can handle oils with confidence. * **Acrylics:** Perfect for beginners, this course teaches you how to manage the quick drying time, blend seamless gradients, and layer for depth. * **Watercolors:** We focus on water control, transparency, and the 'wet-on-wet' technique to create flowy, expressive pieces. * **Sketching:** This is where everything starts. We cover proportion, shading, perspective, and urban sketching techniques to help you see the world like an artist. ### What to Expect * **Small Batches:** I keep groups tight so I can walk around, check your technique, and offer real-time corrections. * **Professional Supplies:** You don't need to buy a single tube of paint. Your course fee includes a full starter kit to use during sessions. * **A Completed Portfolio:** By the end of 8 weeks, you won't just have sketches—you'll have three finished, framed masterpieces to take home. ### Frequently Asked Questions **Do I need any previous drawing experience?** Not at all. Everything we do is step-by-step. If you can hold a pencil, you can learn to paint. **What if I miss a class?** Life happens. We keep our batches flexible and can usually help you catch up on the techniques you missed in the next session. **Where are these classes held?** All our short-term courses are hosted at our studio in HSR Layout. It's a quiet, dedicated space where we keep the focus on the canvas. ## About Art Beat I'm Namratha, and I believe art is a skill, not a genetic gift.
