We teach the powerful footwork and raw rhythm of coastal Karnataka’s famous tiger dance, right here in our studio. ## Photos and videos - [Video: We were honored to have an expert teach our students the powerful and traditional Huli Vesha, or tiger dance. This folk art form is all about raw energy and connecting with cultural roots through strong footwork and expressive movements.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/642b9e79-7a41-4b5f-bd41-e2b1d223aca3) ## About Exploring Folk Traditions: Huli Vesha When we teach Huli Vesha, we train barefoot. It isn't just about cultural respect; it's essential for feeling the vibrations through the floor and mastering the precise, heavy footwork that gives this tiger dance its raw, signature intensity. Huli Vesha is more than a performance; it’s a rhythmic conversation with the ground. In our studio, we strip away the shoes to help you connect with the vibration of the beat. This folk form demands stamina and specific agility, but we break it down into manageable movements so anyone can learn. We focus on the 'Huli' (tiger) energy—the crouching stances, the sharp, sudden movements, and the syncopated footwork that defines this coastal Karnataka treasure. Our sessions build foundational strength, ensuring you master the technique rather than just mimicking the steps. Whether you are an experienced dancer looking to broaden your repertoire or someone completely new to folk traditions, you will find a supportive space here to explore these cultural roots. It’s loud, it’s intense, and it’s a fantastic workout that connects you to a heritage that pulses with life. ## About Arnav Amaze Namaskara!
