Our solution is usually clever concealment—using CNC-cut doors that look like art panels when closed and open to reveal a dedicated space for prayer. It keeps the living area clutter-free while giving you that quiet, distinct spot you need. In Mumbai apartments, space is at a premium, but your pooja space should never feel like an afterthought. We focus on two main approaches depending on your floor plan. ### The Dedicated Nook For homes with extra space, we create a defined prayer area. We use warm, profile lighting to highlight the idol and focus on Vastu-compliant choices, like white surfaces that symbolize purity. We ensure the finish feels distinct from the rest of the furniture so that the area retains its own energy. ### The Hidden Mandir This is a lifesaver for compact living rooms. We design units that disappear into the wall design when not in use. By using custom CNC-cut panels, we create a unit that looks like a high-end decor feature rather than a cabinet. ### Practical Details We handle everything from the initial layout to the final finishing touches: * **Material Choice:** We use high-quality BWR plywood to ensure durability, especially since these units often involve lighting and specific hardware. * **Lighting:** We integrate soft, warm LED strips and spotlights to create a divine glow without the harshness of standard tube lights. * **Storage:** Every mandir we build includes space for your essentials, whether it is deep drawers for incense and books or specific niches for water pots, keeping everything within reach but out of sight. Our goal is to make sure your pooja space reflects your beliefs and your home’s aesthetic. If you have specific Vastu requirements or a tricky corner you are unsure about, let us figure it out together. ## About Design Barn Hi, I’m Shilpa.
