## About Cultural Experiences & Venue Rental

### Why Dhaatu’s Mandala Feels Different

I’ve always felt that stories shape us. At Mandala Cultural Centre, we hold space for Indian puppetry, arts, and cultural experiences that connect you to the roots. Our venue isn’t just four walls - you’ll notice the open, sunlit ambience, green lawns, and stone paths. It’s a spot where art and nature actually mix, not just talk.

### What Happens Here

- Explore our puppet museum on a guided tour (minimum 25 people)
    - See rare puppets, try your hand at playing with them, and catch a live Indian puppet show.
    - Our artists stick around for chat and questions. Kids, adults, families, or office teams - everyone’s got something to take back.
- Venue rental for artistic celebration space
    - Birthdays, get-togethers, or even just a chill day out - all done the Bharatiya way (Indian style). No plastic, no loud DJ, just art, nature, and memories.
- For those who want more
    - We curate cultural immersion programs India-style: private puppet shows based on epics, hands-on workshops, and talks about Indian arts.

### Why We Do It

For us, puppetry is kartavya nishta (our heartfelt duty). Preserving and sharing this art, we believe, keeps our minds and hearts steady. If you’re looking for a different kind of venue or just want to feel a bit more rooted, this is your place.

## Meet your expert

[Dhaatu](https://mytribe.in/anupamahoskere)

### My story

We Indians, we love telling stories, don’t we? At Dhaatu, puppetry is not just a job, it’s a calling. Sometimes, it’s tough, but I always find inspiration in legends like Rukmini Devi Arundale. Bharatanatyam, gardening, puppets - all tangled up in the spiral of life. When Padma Shri came, it was pure gratitude, a salute to Bharat. What we do is about keeping our stories alive, so the next gen can feel proud and connected.

### My work

- **What We Offer**: Traditional puppet shows - string, shadow, hand puppets, plus Ramayana puppet show, museum tours, and birthday events.
- **Cultural Workshops**: We run workshops for kids and adults, using epics and history to spark curiosity and joy.
- **Rooted in Tradition**: Our puppetry follows Dakshina Bharata sampradaya, with puppets inspired by Hoysala temple art.
- **Special Show Moments**: Once, we found a chariot in a village for our Vijayanagara Vaibhava performance. Magic happens when stories come alive.
