Placing an initial on a sleeve cuff works differently than on a back belt, especially depending on the fabric weight. I always ensure these details do not compromise the structure of your blouse, whether it is a delicate silk or a heavy velvet. It is about balancing the design with the fabric's natural drape. Personalization is about adding that layer of meaning to your special day. At my studio in Nagarbhavi, we go beyond standard embroidery. We sit down together, sketch out your ideas, and figure out how to make them wearable art. If you want your wedding hashtag on a dupatta, we ensure the beadwork is durable yet delicate. For initials, we look at the font style and thread color to make sure it complements your saree or lehenga. We can even do this in Kannada script for a touch that is uniquely local and close to home. Technical Note: Remember that different fabrics take to embroidery differently. Crepe silk, for example, is sensitive and requires a lighter hand, while heavier fabrics allow for more intricate Zardozi or Aari work. I am honest about what will hold the design and what will not. The Process: When you come to the studio, we do not just pick a design from a book. We discuss the occasion, the venue, and your comfort. We do a mandatory fitting to ensure the blouse fits you perfectly, keeping the embroidered motifs exactly where they are meant to be seen.
