When I choreograph these projects, I focus on blocking that complements the artist and the set, ensuring every prop like chunnis or thalis moves with purpose. Whether it's a solo performance or a large-scale group number, I make sure the dancers feel the emotion behind the lyrics so it translates perfectly on screen. Working on devotional music videos taught me that silence has a rhythm too. It isn't just about fast-paced Bollywood steps; it's about control, grace, and conveying a story that resonates with the audience. My approach to spiritual choreography starts with understanding the lyrical depth of the track. When I worked with Lakhbir Singh Lakha, the focus was entirely on authenticity—getting the expressions and movements to align with the reverence of the song. I handle everything from designing geometric formations for background dancers to ensuring the lead artist stands out in a crowd. ### My Approach to Spiritual Choreography * **Prop Integration:** I design routines that incorporate traditional elements like diyas, thalis, or chunnis, making sure they look natural and purposeful on camera. * **Formation Design:** For group shoots, I create patterns that look great from overhead and wide angles, essential for the scale of spiritual video productions in Mumbai and beyond. * **Technical Direction:** I collaborate directly with your DOP to block the dance, ensuring the lighting and camera movement catch the right angles without blocking the spiritual focal point. Whether you are planning a bhakti album or a large-scale devotional event, I bring the same hustle and attention to detail I give to commercial Bollywood projects. Let’s make something soulful. ## About Ankit Kumar Dance is my way of speaking, and when the music is devotional, I channel that passion into movements that feel deep and real. I have learned that a great spiritual video needs to look as soulful as it sounds. Let’s bring your vision to life with steps that connect.
