I draw every portrait by hand to capture the expressions and emotion that a simple photo often misses. ## Photos and videos - [Video: While my main passion is murals, I also take on commissions for custom pencil drawings. This video features several examples of my portrait work, including family portraits, couple sketches, and drawings of children, all done with graphite pencils.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/deb1f7c4-3dff-4b33-a8e9-9e2d0def9dfa) ## About Custom Pencil Portraits The most important part of getting a great portrait is the quality of your reference photo. Since I work with graphite and charcoal on paper, I need to see the fine details in the eyes and facial features to really get the likeness right. If you have a grainy or blurry photo, it makes it much harder for me to bring the drawing to life, so please try to share the clearest image you have. I treat every sketch as a meditative project. Unlike digital prints or mass-produced art, a hand-drawn pencil portrait is a slow process that requires patience. I sit down with graphite and charcoal pencils, building up layers of shadow and light to give the drawing depth and realism that feels personal. ### How I Approach Your Sketch - **Detail Oriented:** I focus on the small things, like the texture of hair or the glint in an eye, because that is what makes a portrait look like the person you know. - **Graphite & Charcoal:** These mediums allow for rich, deep blacks and soft grey tones that look classic and timeless on paper. - **The Process:** I don't use filters or shortcuts. Each piece is drawn from scratch based on the photograph you provide. This takes time, so I recommend planning ahead if you are looking for a specific anniversary or birthday gift. ### What You Get - A one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn piece of art on high-quality paper. - A realistic representation of your loved ones that works as a heartfelt gift. - A tangible memory that you can frame and keep for years to come. Whether you want a sketch of your parents, a portrait of your partner, or a drawing of your children, my goal is to give you something that makes you smile when you see it finished. ## About Aniket Hi, I’m Aniket.
