When I host a Mayra, Bhaat, or similar ritual, my goal is to bridge the gap between age-old customs and a modern, joyful celebration. You will not find me using a loud, performative stage voice here. Instead, I focus on facilitating the flow of the event, ensuring the elders feel respected and the families feel comfortable. ### What to expect * **Cultural Context:** I make sure to highlight the meaning behind specific rituals like the Chunari ceremony or Ghoomar. It helps when everyone understands why we do what we do. * **Seamless Flow:** I handle the timing, syncing with the DJ or Dhol players so the music enhances the moment rather than overpowering it. * **Personal Connection:** I believe in sharing small anecdotes or couple stories that keep the atmosphere light without losing the sanctity of the function. * **Professionalism:** Whether it is a traditional Bandhani saree for a Mayra or a formal suit for an engagement, I dress according to the theme.
