I always tell my clients to keep the dried paste on for at least 6 to 8 hours and avoid water for the first day. Once the paste falls off naturally, the rich maroon color will deepen over the next 24 hours. If you want a specific shade for your event, ask me about the aftercare timing when we chat. ### Why My Henna Stains Go Dark Many clients ask me why their stain turned out light. It usually comes down to three things: the quality of the paste, the skin type, and, most importantly, the aftercare. I mix my own organic henna cones at home using essential oils, which ensures a strong, natural dye release. I do not use chemical-heavy cones, so you can be sure the color develops naturally. ### My Process for the Perfect Colour * **Organic Ingredients:** I use eucalyptus oil and high-quality henna powder. This is better for your skin and gives a deeper color than mass-produced chemical cones. * **Patient Application:** Whether it is a small festival design or full bridal coverage, I take my time with the *bareek* (fine) lines. The more detail and density, the richer the final stain will look. * **The 'Heat' Trick:** After the mehndi dries, I often recommend my clients hold their hands over the steam of cloves or use a lemon-sugar syrup to help the henna stick longer. This extra bit of care makes a huge difference in the final maroon shade. ### Need a Demo?
