You do not need to speak French to enjoy the art; the ideas and conversations here naturally transcend language barriers. Our campus is designed to be more than just a classroom. We see it as a forum for dialogue where French and Indian traditions meet. At the heart of this are two key spaces: the M.L. Bhartia Auditorium and Galerie Romain Rolland. Our gallery hosts a rotating selection of exhibitions, ranging from traditional calligraphy and visual arts to modern photography. These displays are intended to start conversations, often blending regional Indian scripts like Devanagari or Gurmukhi with French poetic and artistic influences. We encourage visitors to take their time here, whether you are an art student seeking inspiration or a local resident looking for a quiet, contemplative afternoon. Beyond the visuals, we curate a calendar of talks that bring international thinkers to Delhi. From European Space Agency flight surgeons discussing the human body in space to visiting authors sharing their latest prose, we aim to make high-level intellectual exploration accessible. Most of these events are free and open to the public, though as we often say, 'thoda jaldi aana' (come a little early) to ensure you secure a seat in the auditorium. We believe in creating a space where the community can grow together. Whether you are coming to witness a 'Scripted Dialogues' exhibition or joining a 'Café des poètes' open mic session, you will find a mix of people—students, families, and curious souls—all connecting over a shared interest in culture. ## About Alliance Française We are Alliance Française de Delhi, your local window to French culture. We believe the best way to learn a language is to live it, which is why we fill our campus with art, debate, and dialogue, welcoming everyone from curious students to lifelong artists.
