Under the guidance of instructor Anushree Muskan, you will work on your posture, hand mudras, and footwork during every one-hour weekend session, ensuring even absolute beginners build a strong technical foundation. Kathak is more than just dance. It is a language of expression through movement, precision, and rhythm. At our studio, we strip away the intimidation often associated with classical arts to make the practice accessible to everyone. ### The Approach We focus on the basics of bol (rhythmic syllables), tatkar (footwork), and the delicate hand movements that give Kathak its signature elegance. It is not about perfect execution from day one but about the journey of learning. You will receive hands-on corrections to ensure your posture and movements are safe and graceful. ### Why Weekends We host our Kathak training on Saturdays and Sundays to accommodate working professionals and school schedules. You get eight sessions every month, allowing enough time to practice at home between classes. This consistency helps you build muscle memory and confidence. ### For All Ages We are proud of our intergenerational classes. You will see young students like Nandika practicing alongside adults. This mixed-age environment creates a supportive community where everyone encourages one another. It is a common sight to see mother-daughter duos learning the steps together. ### Getting Started No prior experience is needed. We provide mats and props for the session. Just bring comfortable clothing and a willingness to learn. If you are curious about how these classical steps integrate with modern expression, come visit us in Roop Nagar to watch a class in progress. ## About Aliens Dance & Fitness Studio I am Aryan, and I started this academy so everyone could find their own rhythm.
