We balance that flare with breathable cotton or silk bases, ensuring you stay comfortable while you spin through the garba circle. Finding the right festive wear often feels like a trade-off between looking traditional and being able to actually move. My approach changes that equation. **The Alankriti Approach to Festive Wear** For Navratri, the focus is movement. I start with the foundation. Instead of using stiff, heavy bridal netting, I use high-quality, lightweight fabrics like Georgette and fine cottons. This ensures the ghera (flare) of your lehenga has that beautiful, wide sweep when you twirl, but remains breathable for those warm October evenings. **Customizing Your Dandiya Look** We treat every piece as a collaborative project: * **Mirror Work & Embroidery:** We select the density of the mirror work based on the event. For heavy Dandiya nights, I suggest placing the weight at the yoke of the blouse to keep the skirt area free for movement. * **The Perfect Fit:** Forget about standard sizes. I take your measurements for a made-to-measure fit, so you aren't constantly adjusting your dupatta or pulling up your skirt. * **Practicality:** Every skirt includes deep, concealed pockets. You need a place for your phone or keys when you’re out on the ground, and I believe you shouldn't have to carry a clutch while you dance.
