We prioritize the internal structure, using seasoned Teak or Mahogany to ensure that doors don't warp and drawers slide smoothly for years. The hand-turned legs and PU finish aren't just for style; they protect the wood and keep the piece looking new, even in humid coastal climates like Kochi or Calicut. I treat every sideboard, TV unit, or bookshelf as an architectural project. Whether it’s a fluted-door media console or a floating bookshelf, the goal is to balance aesthetics with daily utility. **Materials That Last** Most of our storage units are crafted from Solid Teak or Mahogany. These woods are dense and naturally resistant to termites, which is crucial for the humid conditions in Kerala. For the finish, we apply a multi-layer Polyurethane (PU) coating. You can choose between a matte look that highlights the natural wood grain or a high-gloss finish that adds a touch of modern luxury. **Customization Beyond Dimensions** You aren't picking off a showroom floor. If you need a specific console height to match your sofa armrest or want to integrate brass hardware into your TV unit, we can adjust it. We often incorporate cane detailing or fluted wood designs to give your storage a vintage yet contemporary feel. **Regional Expertise** Having teams in Bangalore, Kochi, and Calicut allows us to understand the specific environmental needs of your home. Whether you need a statement entryway console for your Aluva residence or a sleek study desk for your Bangalore apartment, we ensure the build quality is consistent. Every screw, hinge, and veneer joint is checked by me before it leaves the workshop. Let’s create a storage solution that actually complements your home. ## About Alankara Homestories I am Alankara, and I believe furniture should tell a story rather than just fill a corner.
