## About Portraits & The Artist's Journey

I believe every great song starts with an honest conversation. Whether you are an aspiring artist looking to produce a demo or someone with a poem they want to turn into a track, I work with you one-on-one to craft the melody and lyrics. We start wherever you are—a feeling, a scribble, or a half-formed idea—and build it into something that sounds like you.

The photos here capture the moments behind the music, but the real work happens in the studio. Whether we are in Mumbai, Jammu, or Bangalore, my process is rooted in discipline mixed with a bit of necessary chaos.

### My Approach to Songwriting
My songwriting journey began when I was ten, and it remains the only way I can truly put my armor down. When we collaborate, I bring that same intent to your story. We start with a one-hour brainstorming session to get to the core of what you want to say. From there, we flesh out the composition, whether it is a stripped-back acoustic track using just guitar or keys, or a fully produced indie-pop number with drums and synths.

### Choosing Your Path
- **Songwriting & Acoustic Demo:** If you want to capture the raw emotion of your lyrics, we focus on a vocal-and-instrument arrangement. This is perfect for songwriters who need a high-quality guide to build upon.
- **Full Track Production:** If you are ready for a streaming-ready sound, I take it from the lyrics to the final master, including mixing, vocal processing, and professional instrumentation at a facility like The Blue Cat Recording Co.

### Why Work With Me?
I have been through the ringer of music production—from classical training to the hustle of the Bombay independent scene. I know the math doesn't always math, and that is okay. My goal is to make your production experience stress-free, authentic, and fun. You get the commercial rights to the music, and I get to help you tell a story that might just become your next favorite track.

## About Akshita Mengi

I am Akshita, a musician who believes every song starts with a raw, honest moment. I combine my classical training with indie-pop instincts to help you find the exact right melody for your story, whether it is a personal anthem or a gift for someone special.
