Whether it's a celebrity sketch or your family portrait, I take my time mapping the features before I layer on the charcoal or color, ensuring that the finished piece truly captures the person's expression. When you see my fan art, you are looking at my practice and my passion. I use these projects to test new techniques, like layering oil-based colors or getting the perfect contrast with charcoal, which I then apply to every order I take. My process is entirely manual, no digital tricks, just me and my paper. ### The Process It always starts with a photo. I don't trace; I look at your reference and map the composition by hand. From there, I build the depth. If you want a graphite or charcoal piece, I focus on the high-contrast shading that makes a portrait feel timeless. If you choose color, I use professional oil-based pencils on 200gsm paper to capture skin textures, fabric details, and the specific vibe of the photo. ### Why Hand-Drawn Matters A physical drawing has a weight and a texture that digital prints just can't match. Every commission is packed securely in a reinforced tube so it reaches you anywhere in India without a single fold. Whether it is a small A4 piece for your desk or a massive A1 family portrait for your living room, the dedication remains the same. I don't rush, because details matter. If you are looking for a unique gift or something special for your own wall, send me a photo, and let's create something real. ## About Artist Akhil Hey, I'm Akhil.
