For devotional sets, I focus on a clear, resonant vocal style that respects the tradition of the shlokas and bhajans, while keeping the energy grounded and respectful. Whether you need a solo performance for an intimate home gathering or a more structured set for a festival, I adapt my playlist and presentation to suit the sanctity of your occasion. ### Creating a Peaceful Atmosphere Devotional music has a way of turning an event into a shared experience. When I perform for Bhajan Sandhyas, Jagrans, or festival pujas, my priority is maintaining that delicate balance between musicality and reverence. It is not just about hitting the notes; it is about ensuring the lyrics and the intent behind the prayer come through clearly. ### Customizing Your Setlist Every ceremony has its own flow, and the music should mirror that. * **Pujas & Intimate Gatherings:** For smaller, at-home rituals like a Ganesh Chaturthi installation or a naming ceremony, I keep it acoustic and soft. These settings allow for more interaction, and I often encourage the family to join in on the chants. * **Festivals & Large Events:** During Navratri or public pandal events, the energy needs to be uplifting. My setlist here leans towards higher-tempo devotional folk songs and popular shlokas that get the crowd involved. * **Tributes:** I also prepare special tributes for specific occasions, drawing from the legendary works of artists like Lata Mangeshkar ji, which add a timeless quality to the event. ### Planning Your Event If you are looking to book a singer for a spiritual event, the main thing to consider is the PA system. Even for devotional music, clarity is key. I typically work with a high-quality vocal mic setup to ensure that the subtle nuances of the shlokas are audible to everyone, not just the front row. Whether you are hosting an event in Mumbai, Vadodara, or travelling elsewhere, I am happy to discuss your requirements to ensure the music feels perfectly in tune with your event’s vibe. ## About Akanksha B.
