## About Mastering Object Study

We don't just teach you to draw a kettle or a shoe; we focus on the specific material rendering—whether it's the metallic reflection of a trophy, the plastic sheen of a telephone, or the texture of a snack bag. This hands-on, live-demo approach is crucial for understanding how to manipulate light and shadow, which is exactly what the examiners look for in your Creative Aptitude Test paper.

### Building Observational Skills

Most design entrance exams, whether for NID or NIFT, test your ability to observe the world. Object study is the foundation of this. It teaches you to look at everyday items—like a rotary phone, a pair of scissors, or a packet of chips—not as static objects, but as a collection of shapes, lines, and textures.

### How We Train at Advik

Our classes in Sector 37, Noida, are designed to move you beyond simple sketching. We use a structured approach to help you master different mediums and techniques:

* **Live Demonstrations:** I walk you through my process, from the first light sketch to the final wash of watercolor. You see exactly how to handle complex reflections and create depth.
* **Material Mastery:** We experiment with various mediums. Charcoal is excellent for understanding value scales and dramatic lighting, while watercolor teaches you to manage moisture and transparency.
* **Small-Group Feedback:** We keep our batches small to ensure you don't get lost in the crowd. We go through each drawing together, pointing out exactly where the perspective might be off or where you can improve your line quality.

### Why This Matters

For design entrance exams, this isn't just art; it is a technical skill. Being able to render an object quickly and accurately on paper shows the panel you have the observational skills necessary for a design degree. It is about discipline, constant practice, and learning to trust your eyes. Whether you are prepping for your undergrad admissions or switching careers, these fundamentals will provide the base you need to succeed.
