In our Diameter Dance or HoopScotch sessions, they are not just hearing about angles and volume. They are feeling the shapes and rhythm in their own bodies. It turns abstract concepts into something they can hold, spin, and understand. ### Why Move to Learn Math? Standard math education often relies on rote memorization, which is exactly why so many kids develop math anxiety. My workshops at Spinfinity take a different approach called embodied learning. By engaging the body, we bypass the usual fear of numbers. ### What Your Child Will Experience: - **Embodied Geometry:** We use hoops to demonstrate radius, diameter, and volume. When children build a 3D cylinder out of hoops and scarves, they understand spatial relationships in a way a textbook cannot teach. - **Kinetic Multiplication:** Through games like HoopScotch, children skip-count and add while they move, making the logic of numbers intuitive rather than forced. - **Focus and Resilience:** The practice of learning a new flow trick teaches patience. If a hoop drops, we laugh and try again. This builds the resilience needed for complex problem solving. ### Practical Details: We keep our batches small, between 8 and 15 kids, to ensure everyone gets space to move safely and personal attention during drills. Sessions are held in naturally ventilated industrial spaces like Bangalore Creative Circus, which provides the high-ceiling environment needed for flow arts. Whether your child is neurodivergent or just looking for a new way to move, these workshops are designed to be inclusive, fun, and deeply educational. ## About Aditi Bhat I started hooping at six, and it completely changed how I see the world. I know school math can feel like a chore, so I built Spinfinity to break that cycle by mixing flow arts with STEM concepts.
