Whether it's carving out skylights to brighten an office core or using slatted screens to create dynamic shadow patterns in a living room, we manipulate light to actively alter your perception of volume. This focus on how natural light interacts with textures is what stops a space from feeling static, ensuring it feels alive from morning to night. At Abitare, we believe the best design happens where architecture, interior design, and landscaping meet. We do not view these as separate phases, but as a single, unified organism. For example, when designing an office, we look at the flow of movement before we ever touch a partition. When designing a home, we look at the sun path before we place a window. By grounding our work in these core principles—proportions, lighting, and material authenticity—we create environments that are not just trendy on day one, but genuinely comfortable over the next decade. We emphasize tactile materials like teak, natural stone, and quality laminates not just for their aesthetic, but for how they age and wear in a climate like Delhi's. Our goal is to craft spaces that respect their context, whether that is a historic renovation or a modern commercial headquarters. We often advise clients to invest in key pieces and allow furniture to 'breathe' rather than overstuffing a room. It is these quiet, deliberate choices that transform a layout into a sanctuary. ## About Abitare Architects We are Abitare Architects, a Delhi-based firm led by Rohit and Saloni Sethi.
