I create a mesmerizing experience where children watch tales like the Ramayan unfold through shadow puppetry. ## Photos and videos - [Video: A throwback to a special evening celebrating the story of Ram with shadow puppetry. I bring my own white screen frame and lighting rig, so whether you are hosting at home or in a community hall, we just need to dim the lights to let the magic begin. Unlike my high-energy plush puppet shows, shadow puppetry is a calmer, more visual experience. I use intricate rigid cutouts manipulated with rods behind a backlit translucent screen, which instantly captivates children. It is a wonderful way to introduce mythology like the Ramayan, Diwali tales, or even bedtime classics in a way that feels like a real theatre production. After the performance, I always do a quick demo to show the kids the mechanics behind the shadows. It turns a performance into a mini science lesson on light and silhouette art. Since this setup requires specific lighting conditions, I arrive early to handle the screen frame and LED setup, ensuring the room is ready for the show. It is such a rewarding way to share stories, and the kids always leave with a deeper sense of wonder about the characters. This type of storytelling is perfect for cultural events, Dussehra celebrations, or any party where you want to pause the energy and focus on a beautiful, quiet story. ## About Tickles&Tales Hi, I am Aarti!
