I install backlit mirrors to provide shadow-free, even illumination for grooming, while integrating subtle LED strips under vanities or within shower niches to create a relaxing spa-like environment without harsh overhead glare. Lighting is the often-overlooked element that separates a standard remodel from a high-end transformation. Many bathrooms suffer from inadequate, one-dimensional lighting that creates unflattering shadows and misses the chance to set a mood. **The Layering Strategy** I design with three specific layers to ensure your space works for you, day and night: * **Task Lighting:** This is essential for your morning and evening routines. I use front-facing backlit mirrors that project light directly onto your face, eliminating the harsh shadows caused by overhead fixtures. * **Ambient Lighting:** For moments when you want to unwind, I install warm, concealed LED strips. These are tucked under floating vanities, behind mirror frames, or inside shower coves to cast a gentle, indirect glow that is easy on the eyes. * **Feature Lighting:** I treat storage niches as design elements. By installing small, focused LED spots inside tiled wall niches, we turn functional storage areas into illuminated displays. **Technical Integration** Because I manage the renovation process, these lighting features are planned before any tiling or false ceiling work begins. I ensure all drivers and wiring are safely hidden behind ceilings or within wall cavities. This results in a clean, seamless finish where you see the light, but not the hardware. Whether you want cool, daylight-balanced lights for precision or warm, dimmable strips for relaxation, we configure your electrical points during the initial renovation phase to avoid any post-installation clutter. ## About Aapka Bathrooms I am the founder of Aapka Bathrooms, and I believe a great bathroom starts with thoughtful planning.
