It is the only time I get to test the acoustics and actually warm up my voice, so I need at least 45 minutes of quiet time before guests arrive. It might seem like a lot, but this preparation is the difference between a smooth performance and the technical glitches that can kill the vibe of a song. People usually see the final performance, but the work starts long before the crowd gathers. My setups range from a simple solo acoustic rig for an intimate living room session to a full band that requires a professional backline. For the unplugged trio or the full band, a proper soundcheck is non-negotiable. I need to make sure the monitors, mic levels, and instruments are balanced so the performance stays crisp. I am not just a playlist. I interact with the crowd, take requests, and yes, sometimes I mix up the lyrics. That is the reality of live, unplugged music. If you are looking for a sterile, perfectly auto-tuned show, I am not that person. But if you want a musician who treats the stage as a space of worship and wants everyone in the room to feel connected to the music, let us talk. Whether it is a cozy house party or a large Sangeet, I bring the same energy to every setup.
