## About Your Story in Henna: Custom Portraits & Scenes

Before I pick up a cone, I draft a custom layout for your hands. We discuss your specific requests, like whether you want the varmala ceremony or a cityscape on your arm, and I sketch the composition to ensure it fits your proportions perfectly. This pre-planning phase is what makes the final design look intentional rather than just crowded.

Creating a narrative in henna requires more than just skill with a cone. It demands an understanding of composition and timing. When I work on custom figure designs, I treat your skin like a canvas, carefully mapping out where the portraits, traditional motifs, and textual elements will sit.

### The Process of Storytelling
My storytelling designs are not random. We often include elements like the date of your engagement, a skyline of the city where you met, or specific scenes from your wedding ceremonies like the doli or feras. Because this level of detail is high, these designs are dense and time-intensive. You can expect the application to take anywhere from 6 to 8 hours, as every line is drawn with precision to ensure the figures look accurate and clean.

### Why Figures Work
Many brides choose portrait mehndi to add a personal touch that generic designs cannot offer. Whether it is a side profile of the bride and groom or a depiction of a meaningful moment, these designs become a talking point among guests. I prioritize flow, ensuring that even with heavy figure work, the design maintains a balanced, traditional Indian aesthetic that doesn't feel cluttered.

### Frequently Asked Questions
* **Can I request a specific scene?** Yes. If you have a photograph or a specific ceremony you want to depict, share it with me during our consultation. I will figure out how to translate that into henna.
* **Does the henna stain differently for figures?** No. The quality of the stain depends on my 24-hour matured henna paste. As long as you follow the aftercare, your portrait designs will develop that deep maroon color just like any other pattern.
* **Is it only for hands?** While the palm is the most popular canvas for portraits, I can extend the storytelling up to your mid-arm or even on your feet, depending on how much of your story you want to share.
