## About Artistry in Detail: Jawahar Jackets & Bundis

A truly great Bundi is about more than just the fabric. We use full-canvas fusing in our construction, which ensures the jacket maintains its sharp, regal silhouette without sagging, regardless of how long you wear it. Whether you are dressing for a Mehendi function or a formal wedding dinner, our jackets are designed to hold their shape and structure from the first photograph to the last dance.

### The Art of the Layer
The Jawahar jacket, or Bundi, is the most versatile piece in Indian menswear. It serves as the bridge between a simple kurta and a complete ensemble. At The Darzi Group, we view the jacket not just as an accessory, but as a statement of intent.

### Construction and Technique
We do not believe in off-the-rack sizing for such a defining garment. Every jacket we construct undergoes our signature pattern-drafting process. We utilize full-canvas or half-canvas fusing, techniques often reserved for Western formal wear, to ensure the garment retains its shape across the shoulders and chest. 

Our surface work relies on time-tested Indian embroidery forms. Depending on the occasion, we offer:
* **Aari Work:** Delicate, thread-based embroidery that adds depth without weight.
* **Mirror Work:** Perfect for festive daytime events like Mehendi or Haldi, adding a subtle sparkle.
* **Zardosi:** For evenings where a more regal, heavy look is required.

### Fabric Selection
Your choice of fabric dictates the function of the garment. For summer weddings or daytime soirées, we recommend our breathable linens or Giza cottons. For winter celebrations or high-profile events, we turn to our luxury Tussar silk, Raw silk, and Banarasi brocades. 

### Tailoring Your Jacket
We invite you to visit our Rajouri Garden studio for a consultation. Our process includes a 30-point measurement system and two mandatory fitting sessions—a raw trial and a final trial—to ensure the jacket sits perfectly over your kurta or shirt, giving you the precision fit that defines our legacy since 1981.
